TJ’s Story

White Lodging gave me the opportunity to complete two internships while I was in college. My first internship was an operations internship in Houston, TX and I was able to work at three different hotels while I was there; two Residence Inns and a Courtyard by Marriott. Everyone was so nice and helpful, my GM even let me borrow his spare car for the last month I was there.

My second internship was in Indianapolis, IN. I worked at a Full Service Marriott in the HR Department and it was a great internship. I was able to see a different side of the hotel industry and again, I met so many wonderful people while I was there.

After graduation, I started as a Housekeeping Manager at the full service Midway Marriott in Chicago, IL. I was in this position for only eight months before my first promotion. I am now the Operations Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Saratoga Springs, NY.
